We couldn’t choose just 12 organizations to highlight for our #12DaysofGiving campaign. In the spirit of giving, we proudly present our 13th and final nonprofit for the “Baker’s Dozen of Giving.” The 13th organization is Daniel Island Animal Hospital on Wheels (DIAH on Wheels). This organization partners with Berkeley Seniors to provide a pet food bank and veterinary care to animals of seniors in Berkeley County.
Today’s nonprofit feature in our #12DaysofGiving campaign is WINGS for Kids! WINGS is nonprofit organization which helps kids develop social and emotional intelligence through fresh and fun after school programs. Learn more about their initiatives from their CEO, Bridget Laird!
Charleston Animal Society‘s mission since the organization’s founding in 1874 remains the same- prevent cruelty to animals. In order to accomplish their mission they engage in multiple activities including: promoting temporary sanctuary to lost, abandoned or abused domestic animals, promoting adoption, and providing medical care to indigent pets. Donate to help them save lives!
About 1.8 billion people lack access to safe water every day. Water Mission builds breakthrough solutions for people and communities suffering under the global water crisis. They provide hope through safe water and sanitation solutions that meet the needs of entire communities. Thus far, Water Mission has served 3000 communities. Donate to help them extend their impact in the developing world and beyond.
The ninth video in our #12DaysofGiving series is Friends of Keep Charleston Beautiful, the nonprofit affiliate of Keep Charleston Beautiful (KCB). Friends of Keep Charleston Beautiful was organized in 2007 to help support the goals and mission of KCB and to promote the cleanliness and beautification of the City of Charleston through education, public awareness, and community cleanups.
